Last week some friends and I gathered nettles from a source near the Columbia River. The bags of nettles came at the price of finger scars, but the rewards promise great things. The nettles are now drying on my table, with my kitten sniffing them regularly. They are drying slowly, but it is my first drying season, so am learning as well. Look for pictures tomorrow!
